Description

A Heat Shrink Tube is plastic tubing that shrinks in size when heat is applied. It easily shrinks upon contact with heat which is an effective way to protect your wires and connections. Each heat shrink tube has temperature capacity but any heat sources like candles, lighter or matches will shrink the tubing.

Heat Shrink Tubing is a high performance, multi purpose, professional grade, flexible, flame retardant, polyolefin based heat-shrinkable tubing with excellent electrical, chemical and physical properties. This tubing is used extensively in industrial and military applications for cable and wire harnessing, strain relief, insulation, color coding, identification and protection against fluids.

Heat shrink tube  3/16 inch (4.8 mm) in diameter, with 5 colors (blue, green, yellow, red and transparent), 1 m per color in sections of 20 cm. When heated to 70° Celsius, it contracts to 50% of its diameter. Useful for grouping cables or some object.

Heat-shrinkable tube has the advantages of good electrical insulation, good sealing, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. Anti-aging, tough, not easy to break.

You only need to heat it evenly with a hot air blower or a candle to make it shrink. It is a 2:1 heat shrink ratio and will shrink to the original 1/2.

1.Choose the right heat shrink tube to ensure that it can be tightly wrapped after heating.

2.Use scissors to cut the appropriate length.

3.Warp the cable with the tube.

4.Use a lighter or heat guns heating until the wire was wrapped tightly.

This is a waterproof shrink tubing with the internal adhesive layer. When heat is applied, shrink tubing recovers and the internal adhesive layer melts. A small fillet of clear adhesive (about 1 mm wide) becomes visible at the end of the heated tubing. When cooled down, it forms a rigid seal. Heat activated glue strongly adheres to wires, terminals or any other surfaces. When adhesive flows, it pushes the air out and fills any gaps between the wire and the tubing, which makes the connection waterproof. For best results we recommend using a heat gun.
