ISO9001 quality management system

To get certified to ISO 9001, an organization must meet the requirements of the standard, which include:

Defining the scope of the QMS: The organization must define the scope of its quality management system, which includes identifying the processes, products, and services that are covered by the system.

Documenting the QMS: The organization must create and maintain documents and records that describe its quality management system and demonstrate its effectiveness.

Implementing the QMS: The organization must implement its quality management system, which includes providing training, resources, and support to employees to ensure that they understand and can comply with the system’s requirements.

Monitoring and measuring performance: The organization must monitor and measure the performance of its quality management system, including its processes and products or services, and take action to address any non-conformities or opportunities for improvement.

Continual improvement: The organization must continually improve the effectiveness of its quality management system through the use of data, analysis, and review.

Conducting internal audits: The organization must conduct internal audits of its quality management system to ensure that it is operating effectively and meeting the requirements of the standard.

Obtaining certification: The organization must engage an accredited certification body to conduct an external audit of its quality management system and verify that it meets the requirements of ISO 9001.
