Yesterday Sony announced on the PlayStation official blog that it will launch a system update for the PS5, including long-awaited features such as 1440p HDMI picture output and game list, in addition, after the update, players can request screen sharing from party members, view new friends’ profiles, and receive notifications to join friends’ games from party chats more quickly.
The system update also allows players to compare 3D and stereo sound effects on the same screen, accessing ongoing activities in the Game Content Hub. Sony also revealed in a blog that it will also launch updates for the Android and iOS versions of the PS App mobile app later this month, including directly launching PS Remote Play games, requesting screen sharing similar to PS5 consoles.
The PS5 console update also adds voice support for YouTube search, but this feature is only available to US and UK players in the form of preview tests for the time being.
