Common computer monitor video interfaces mainly include HDMI interface, DP interface, VGA interface, USB-C interface, the appearance and transmission performance of each interface are different.
According to the different video interfaces, the computer monitor connection line is divided into: HDMI line, DP line, VGA line, USB-C full-featured line.
1. HDMI cable
HDMI cable is a digital video/audio transmission line that can be used to transmit audio and video signals, and there is no need for digital/analog or analog/digital conversion before the signal is transmitted, which can ensure the highest quality audio and video signal transmission.

2. DP line

The DP line is mainly used for the connection of video sources to displays and other devices, while transmitting video signals, adding support for high-definition audio signal transmission, and supporting higher resolution and refresh rate.
At present, the DP video line on the market mainly has version 1.4 and version 1.2. Among them, the highest bandwidth of DP1.4 video line reaches 32Gbps, which is much higher than the bandwidth of the previous generation, and supports higher resolution and refresh rate output, dynamic HDR display, and backward compatibility with DP1.2.
3. VGA video line
VGA is a computer display standard that uses analog signals, although this technology has shortcomings such as easy interference and signal loss, but because VGA is to decompose the image signal into R, G, B three primary colors and HV field signals for transmission separately, so the loss in short-distance transmission scenarios is relatively small, which can meet the actual use needs.
VGA video cable is composed of multiple coaxial cables, and the wire specifications (industry statement) are mainly 3+6, 3+9, 3+11 and so on. Generally speaking, the ordinary home office scene to choose “3 + 6″ is enough for daily use, if it is a large-scale project, it is recommended to choose the “3 + 11″ of the full channel.
4. USB-C full-featured data cable
USB-C full-featured data cable is a data cable that can be used for both PC devices and mobile phones, tablets and other mobile devices. Different from the above three video lines, the USB-C full-featured line supports ultra-clear video transmission in addition to supporting ultra-clear video transmission, but also supports data transmission, high-power fast charging, which can be said to be a super all-round data line!
